MUSICA - DISCOGRAFIA - Iggy Pop - 4SHARED       James Newell Osterberg tocava bateria na banda The Iguanas. Também por causa do nome da banda, e pelo seu porte atlético, James adotou o nome artístico de Iggy Pop. Gravou vários compactos com os Iguanas, todos eles unificados num único arquivo, sob o nome 'Jumpin' with the Iguanas', que inclusive tem a primeira incursão de Iggy Pop como cantor em 'Louie, Louie'. "Quando tudo mais falha, vá de 'Louie, Louie', tocado bem alto, que ela irá tirar você de qualquer situação". Foi então que Iggy Pop passou a ocupar o posto de vocalista na banda 'The Stooges'. Com performances alucinadas e violentas, Iggy Pop inspirou ninguém menos que o próprio David Bowie a criar o personagem Ziggy Stardust. Nessas apresentações dos Stooges, Iggy se jogava no palco, se cortava com cacos de vidro, cuspia e era cuspido, gritava e berrava e se xingava todos na platéia. Iggy era insuperável. Com os Stooges, Iggy gravou três discos de estúdio na década de 70, 'The Stooges', 'Fun House' e 'Raw Power'. A formação clássica da banda, com os irmãos Asheton (Ron e Scott) e até mesmo com James Williamson acabou em 1974, mas Iggy continuou tocando sob o mesmo nome com novos integrantes. Algumas dessas gravações renderam bons bootlegs, como 'My Girl Hates my Heroin' e 'Metallic KO', onde reza a lenda que jogaram de tudo em cima do vocalista no meio do palco. "Já me cuspiram, me socaram, já me acertaram com ovos, dinheiro, com clipes de papel, máquinas fotográficas, sutiãs, cuecas, trapo velho, vestimentas mais caras como cintos e coisas assim. Já me acertaram com uma atiradeira, frutas diversas, uma garrafa de Johnny Walker Black Label. Eu sei que foi um Johnny Walker Black Label porque a banda depois pegou a garrafa e me mostrou. Jogaram uma garrafa de Whiskey em mim! Passou muito perto da minha cabeça, não tive nem tempo de reagir, e por pouco não me acerta. O vidro era tão pesado que a garrafa não quebrou. Eles realmente fazem uma boa garrafa". Iggy Pop continuou com sua carreira solo após o fim definitivo dos Stooges. Seus melhores discos foram 'The Idiot' e 'Lust for Life', produzidos por David Bowie; 'Kill City' e 'New Values', com o parceiro de banda James Williamson; 'Skull Ring', gravado com várias colaborações, entre elas o 'Green Day'; e atualmente 'Préliminaires', onde o cantor mostra um lado mais calmo e quieto, cantando até uma versão em inglês para 'Insensatez' de Tom Jobim. Os Stooges voltaram, e lançaram o quarto disco de estúdio, 'The Weirdness', assim como outros bootlegs ao vivo, 'Homecoming' e 'Telluric Chaos'.
